Hate crime offense—Civil action.

The complete and official text of the statute.
(1) A person who has been injured in his or her person or property as a result of a hate crime offense as defined in RCW 9A.36.080 may bring a civil action for damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, against the person who committed the offense.
(2) In a civil action brought under this section, the plaintiff may recover all damages proximately caused by the hate crime offense, including damages for pain and suffering.
